Negative Energy

I'm beginning to wonder if negative energy can be transmitted over the internet and come flowing out of my monitor.

Gosh, there are a lot of ugly mean spirited people out there in the world.

Sure, if we define it as your reaction to the behavior (outward appearance) of others doing things that offend you. Then their actions caused the reaction in you, making you more negative. They transmitted it with their words or whatever the medium is.

I think that's highly possible through what you read and see on the internet.

I'd agree with the first comment; I think it depends on how you react to what you perceive on the internet.  It's all mental.

well, it's just like talking to someone...only worse because there is no such thing as "tone of voice" online, you have to guess at it and woo boy does that lead to some horrible misunderstandings and whatnot.

I believe that whatever effects your thinking and/or emotions will also effect your own personal energy.  Everything projects some kind of energy- positive or negative. You will respond to that.  I think we must guard our thoughts and what we feed into our minds more than even the food we put into our mouths. (Not that I'm advocating totally irresponsible dietary practices.)

"Whatsoever things are good, whatsoever things are just, if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things."  You find similar admonishments in a number of philosophies and religions . I think it is for a reason.  We have come to live in a society that more and more focuses on the sensational, the shocking, the fear promoting, rather than those things that will actually build us up and lead us to physical and spiritual growth.  Watch the news. Most stories are overblown and sensationalized. Even stories about lifestyle and healthy living are infused with fear mongering presentations of how just about everything you eat or do can harm you.

It isn't good, Ron.  We have to detach ourselves from the national addiction to adrenalin rushes and perpetual search for the next thing to be afraid of.  This is just as prevalent on the internet.  It effects our emotions and thoughts and creates an energy that is almost becoming visable on a national level.

I have no answers, just observations.

I think it is possible... because when you read something emotionally heavy or ugly... we think about it... and it cause emotions to stir in us. But how much that effects us, is up to us.
